project #1
"watching 'wicked' live on stage"
project #2
"swingin' stimulation"
project #2
"i am so angry and i will hit you"

material girl has chosen donorschoose.org as the beneficiary of our fundraising efforts.

public school teachers from across america submit projects to be funded ranging from field trips to the zoo to pencils for the classroom.  the impact is immediate, sometimes life changing, but most importantly involving education for those less fortunate.

material girl will donate $1 for every bag ordered and will match up to $5 of additional customer donations per order.  each month material girl will choose 3 worthwhile projects where you can choose where the contributions will go.

ms. j's classroom in colorado has received tickets donated to see the musical "wicked" live on stage and needs transportation to the center for performing arts.

ms. j teaches high school reading to a highly at-risk population.  most of her students speak english as their second language and most are economically disadvantaged.  "wicked" has been the theme throughout the year and the excitement has caused an increase in attendance, many sitting next to students in rival gangs while discussing the negative implications of judging others.  click here to read the full donation request.

mrs. h's classroom in georgia would like a swing for the students with physical disabilities so they can feel independence and the joy of swinging.

mrs. h teaches 9-12 grade self-contained special needs students in a small community with limited resources. her students do not get to have many of the same opportunities as other students in the community due to their disabilities. you will make it possible for her students to get a taste of what it is like to have fun without someone holding onto which will stimulate their minds which will transfer to more learning in the classroom. click here to read the full donation request.

ms. s's classroom in wisconsin is in need of 11 counseling resources, including curriculum sets, situation cards and activities, and 7 dvd's such as "decisions, decisions: what's a teenager to do? and "the big deal about bullying".

ms. s teaches 6 - 8 grade students who have cognitive disabilities.  academically they are on a kindergarten level and have a difficult time processing right and wrong.  these students have probation officers from the juvenile court system and have a difficult time dealing with anger.  your help will provide resources to teach them how to effectively deal with real life anger and frustration  click here to read the full donation request.
